I’m from Will Rice, a Computer Science major and a Data Science minor. I’m originally from Queens, New York, but I moved to Dallas, Texas in the middle of high school and live there now! Not sure where I’ll be after graduation yet… hopefully I’ll get accepted into any of the Master’s programs I applied for.

Regrets I have …
- Not minoring in something unrelated to STEM like English or Theatre or something. Minors are so irrelevant why not do something interesting with them?
- Not joining Spontaneous Combustion (Rice’s best (and only) improv troupe) sooner
- Taking that one semester of 18 credit hours for literally no reason
Embarrassing moment …
- Filming Rice Backpage Tiktoks 😩😩😩
- Setting up meetings with professors to talk about my grades and bursting into tears during
- Showing up to any 310 Office Hours with bugs that had one-line fixes
Things I swore I’d finish but never did …
- Biochemistry Minor (can you believe I thought I’d be COMP + Pre-Med???)
- Making a personal website/resume
- Art Instagram/Tiktok account
Everyday L’s
- Waiting until the last possible moment to start any assignment and doing it in a deadline-induced panic
- Showing up to office hours and BS’ing an answer, only to realize the actual answer as I am talking

- Making friends by talking to people in Will Rice Commons
- Movie nights in the suite during junior year

Things I’ve learned that will still matter in 10 years
- It’s never really that deep
- Vulnerability is strength
- Just because it’s possible to do it all in one day does not mean you should

- Starting my own radio show on KTRU (tune into heart beatz!!)
- Continuing to write short stories, draw, read, be creative and not letting the COMP consume me

Leap of faith
- Rooming with a bunch of other interns I did not know for the summer in one big Airbnb in Seattle (and then again in Sunnyvale)
- Applying/Auditioning for literally anything (Backpage, SpoCo, Internships, grad school, etc.)
